Stockton (Calif.) electric trolley system operated from 1892 until replaced by buses (1941). This collection, amassed by University of the Pacific history student, Nathan Gonzales, consists of photocopies of public documents, clippings and photographs recording important events in the 20th century history of the Stockton Electric Railroad, with special emphasis on factors that led to its demise. The collection also contains Gonzales' paper, "Stockton and the conversion from streetcars to buses, 1927-1941" (1997).
