Cohen, John S., 1870-1935.
John Sanford Cohen, native to Augusta, Georgia and president of the Atlanta Journal, was appointed as a Democrat to the U. S. Senate on April 25, 1932 to fill the vacancy caused by the death of William J. Harris. He served until January 11, 1933, when Richard B. Russell, Jr. was elected to serve the remainder of the term.
