Fore, Walker, d. 1890
In the 1880s, Texas land investor Walker Fore (d. 1890) built a twenty-seven-room hotel at Chalybeate Springs in Wood County that operated until 1895.
Fore died at his home in Upshur County but was buried in Dallas by the city's Masonic fraternity. His daughter Sue Catherine Fore (1852-1900) married attorney and reverend Henry Augustus "Gus" Garrison (1848-1923), with whom she had five children.
