Hide Profile

Elisha Copeland, Jr., was a commission merchant and later city auditor of Boston, Mass. He was associated with a more notable merchant, P. P. F. Degrand, with whom he shared an establishment at 69 Broad Street. However, contemporary directories do not indicate a formal partnership. Degrand and Copeland traded with Europe and the West Indies and were the Boston agents for Du Pont gunpowder.
