New Mexico American Revolution Bicentennial Commission

Hide Profile

The Bicentennial Commission was established by a legislative act in 1969 that also established the Commission's date of abolishment as January 1, 1984 (1969 Laws of N.M., Chp. 220, Sec. 1). The "Final Report" of the Commission, however, was submitted in 1977. The Commission's purpose was to prepare a state-wide program in New Mexico for commemorating the bicentennial of the American Revolution.
