Richard Lippincott Williams (1910- ) worked for the "Seattle Times" from 1933-1941 before joining the Washington State Defense Council. In 1944 he joined the Boeing Aircraft Company as a writer and later joined "Time Magazine" until 1952. He then became an editor for Dell books and in 1960 joined Hillman Periodicals, Inc. as vice-president in charge of editorial operations. After working as a free-lance writer from 1961-1962, he became a series editor at Time-Life Books.
