Whitworth College
From time to time Whitworth College has had to step back and examine its programs and reasons for existence. Evaluation, an onerous task at best, may happen because of internal financial pressures, or at the instigation of external accreditation bodies. An example of the first instance is the “Redesign” program undertaken by the college under the leadership of Dr. Duncan S. Ferguson. An example of the second is the self-study undertaken for the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (N. C. A. T. E.).
