Weathersby, Zella, 1929-
Zella Weathersby began teaching at Hopewell High School in Hot Coffee, Mississippi in 1953. In 1968, she transferred to Collins Elementary School, becoming the school's first African American teacher. In 1980, she became a co-owner of a funeral home in Collins.
