John L. Person (b. Dec. 16, 1907, Attleboro, Mass.-d. Oct. 3, 1969), U.S. Army officer, graduated from West Point in 1929 and also graduated in civil engineering from MIT in 1932. During World War II, he served as commanding officer, Military Pipeline Service, and deputy chief of engineering in the European Theater of Operations. After the War he was involved in a number of civil engineering projects, and he retired in 1959.
