Frank Leonard Snyder was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 23, 1924. He graduated from the United States Air Force Armament School in Denver, in 1942, and served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Snyder held various careers, including draftsman, engineer, executive, and professor. He retired in 1978 and began teaching business courses and instructing at church ministries. Snyder devoted much of his later years to the study of William Pope DuVal, Florida's first civilian Territorial governor. He also wrote a history of Clearwater Christian College. Snyder died at Bay Pines V.A. Medical Center (Bay Pines, Florida) in 1993.
