Jennifer M. Guglielmo earned her B.A in history and women's studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990, her M.A. in history at the University of New Mexico in 1995, and her Ph.D. in history at the University of Minnesota in 2003. She taught at William Paterson University (2002-2003), SUNY-New Paltz (2001-2002), and the University of Minnesota (1998-2000). Since 2003 she has been an Assistant Professor of History at Smith College. Guglielmo is the recipient of numerous academic prizes and awards and has published widely in academic journals. She has also been active in the ongoing struggle for reproductive rights, specifically through involvement in Defend Abortion Rights Emergency (DARE) in Madison, WI, and for women's rights in general.
