Variant namesSilversmiths, Taunton, Mass. The firm's history can be traced back to Babbitt & Crossman (1824-1829) which was succeeded by Crossman, West & Leonard. One year later this firm was succeeded by the Taunton Britannia Manufacturing Co. In 1837 this firm became Leonard, Reed & Barton, and this was succeeded in 1840 by Reed & Barton.
