Missionary, nurse; born November 1, 1927; graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in nursing, 1951; married Dr. Arthur David Thiessen, 1951; went to India in 1952 under the sponsorship of the General Conference of the Mennonite Church; worked among lepers in hospitals at Champa and Landour; returned to the United States to Wheaton, 1974.
