Friedman, Robert, 1929-
Variant namesGlenn Curtiss invented the Flying Boat, a hydroaeroplane, which the Navy began purchasing in 1911. Curtiss's work provided the cornerstone for what later became Curtiss Wright Aircraft Corporation.
