Woodruff Arts Center (Atlanta, Ga.). Alliance Theater.
The Alliance Theater was created in 1969, and is the only non-founding division of the Arts Alliance.
In 1977, the Alliance Theater merged with the Atlanta Children's Theater which had been formed in 1929 by the Atlanta Junior League. The growth after the merger was astinishing and now the Alliance Theater plays to capacity crowds which were never anticipated in Atlanta. The merger also provided Atlanta and the Southeast with a total theater program.
