Beddek and Coley.
Francis Beddek arrived at Sydney on December 29, 1827 and by the end of 1828 was established as a solicitor in Windsor. Richard Coley, another English solicitor, who had practised in Hong Kong, was admitted to practice in N.S.W. in 1844. He went into partnership with Beddek, who died in 1852. The legal firm of John J. Paine Ross and Co. are the successors to the practice.
