Engineer and educator. Born Sept. 15, 1914 in Larue, Texas. Received B.S. at Texas Technological College, 1939. M.S. from Kansas State University, 1951. Worked as sales engineer in Amarillo, Texas, and as a research engineer at Cabot Carbon Company in Pampa, Texas before becoming a professor of mechanical engineering at Tech in 1942. Was the one millionth visitor to General Electric's Lighting Institute at Nela Park - Cleveland, Ohio. Died in March, 1987.
