Pro-Utah

Hide Profile

Pro-Utah was organized in January 1964 and officially disbanded on 31 December 1975. This non-profit corporation was formed to help promote a state-wide industrial program. Utah's economy had been one of agriculture and mining and was trying to convert to one based on industry. The organization was made up of Utah's most prominent businessmen and backed by the governor. They travelled to California, promoting Utah, and had several accomplishments around 1965. However, activities and programs dwindled to the point where the organization wasn't really doing anything, causing it's disbandment in 1975.
