Saxton family.
The Saxton family was related by marriage to Carroll and Buck families of central New York state.
Nathan Buck served in a New York Infantry regiment attached to the 6th Army Corps and took part in the siege of Petersburg. At the end of the Civil War, Americus D. Buck was a hospital steward with the 193rd regiment of New York Infantry, which was organized in the spring of 1865 was posted on duty in the Shenandoah and Department of West Virginia.
