Charleston lawyer, Walter Harris Solomon, worked in the office of Robert McCormick Figg, Jr., solicitor of the Ninth Judicial District of South Carolina, during the 1930s and 1940s. Among other accomplishments, Solomon was the founding director of the Home Federal Savings Bank, original trustee (1947) of the Saul Alexander Foundation, past president of K.K. Beth Elohim, and member of the S.C Mental Health Commission (1965-1982.).
