Burress, Evelyn
Daughter of the Republic of Texas member and genealogist Evelyn Burress was actively involved in the preservation and restoration of historic buildings throughout Texas.
Along with her husband Walter March Burress, a geologist by profession, they sponsored an annual Texas Independence Day celebration at Washington-on-the-Brazos.
