The Mariposa Boat Club was founded in San Francisco in 1932 as a membership organization to promote increased interest in small boat motoring. Arthur Walter is the designer of the patented Walter inboard outboard motor. He was born in 1911 and died in 1994. He originally operated his speed boat with an outboard and then altered the boat to accommodate the inboard outboard. The boat does not exist. Mr. Walter used the boat at the Mariposa Boat Club where he was a charter member.
