Anderson family.
William A. Alexander (WLU 1861) was a member of the Liberty Hall Volunteers, delegate to the Virginia Constitutional Convention (1901), Attorney General of Virginia (1902-1910), trustee of Washington and Lee University (1885-1930), and Rector of the Board (1915-1924). Francis T. Anderson (WLU 1828) was a lecturer (1876-1880), trustee of Washington College (1853-1887), rector (1879-1887), member of the Virginia House of Delegates (1861-1863), and a judge on the Supreme Court of Appeals.
