Smith, Walter Brown, 1858-
Walter B. Smith was born in Hampden, Maine. He was a geologist for the USGS survey in Colorado 1884-89. Pursued archaeology in Maine, 1906-1929. A founder and first curator of the Abbe Museum at Acadia National Park beginning in 1928.
