Mulligan, Charles J., 1816-1916.
Sculptor who was born in Ireland, came to America in 1876, studied art at the Chicago Art Institute and in Paris and eventually became the head of the Department of Sculpture at the Chicago Art Institute. He sculpted the Illinois Monument, one of the sculptures at the Supreme Court Building in Springfield and sculptures in Quincy and Rosemond, Illinois as well as many more.
