The Trustees of the Dartmouth College established the Tucker Foundation in 1951 for the purpose of "supporting and furthering the moral and spiritual work and influence of the college". Named for Rev. William Jewett Tucker, president of Dartmouth College from 1893 to 1909, the Foundation sponsored social service programs on a local and national level.
