Pi Mu Epsilon (PME) promotes mathematics and recognizes successful mathematics students. The organization was founded in 1914 at Syracuse University. Professor Edward Drake Roe, Jr., served as its first director. PME now consists of 354 members and has chapters in 46 states and Washington, D.C.
