Trinity Cathedral (Columbia, S.C.)
Variant namesTrinity Episcopal Church was organized in 1812; original wooden church was replaced in 1834 by a large English Gothic building with a major expansion in 1864; survived the Civil War burning of Columbia, S.C.; Jan. 1977 Trinity Cathedral was consecreted as the cathedral seat for the bishop of the Diocese of Upper South Carolina.
