Pilesgrove Monthly Meeting was established in 1794 by Salem Quarterly Meeting out of Salem Monthly Meeting. At the time of the Hicksite Separation of 1827, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Pilesgrove Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) was discontinued in 1830. In 1928, Salem Quarterly Meeting approved the dissolution of Pilesgrove Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). Its two preparative meetings were then established as Mullica Hill Monthly Meeting and Woodstown Monthly Meeting.
