Burkhardt, E. Walter
Burkhardt, a native of Neu Mockau, Germany, was a professor of architecture at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, from 1929 until his retirement in 1946. From 1933 to 1937 he was Alabama District Officer of the Historic American Buildings Survey.
