Circa 1854, Isaac Fisher (1829-1908) settled in Woodland, California and began raising alfalfa on his ranch. On June 14, 1866, he married Mary Cunningham (1847-1871), a native of Ohio. They had two daughters, Adella (1867-1952) and Edna (1870-1962). On March 16, 1878, Isaac Fisher married Anna Rhoads (1854-1928), a native of Madison, Indiana, daughter of John L. and Lovina (Fierce) Rhoads. Isaac and Anna had four children: Oscar S. (1879-1928), Nile I. (1881-1971), Grace L. Epperson (1886-1958), and Chester H. (1890-1975).
