Risinger, Helen Earlene, 1927-
Risinger (Nicknamed "Beans") was born in Hess, Okla. in 1927. She joined the Grand Rapids Chicks, baseball team in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, in 1949 and played with the team until it disbanded after the 1954 season. She remained in Grand Rapids, ultimately working as a nurse, until retiring in 1992.
