LeJau, Francis, 1665-1717.
Anglican priest of Huguenot ancestry, missionary, and teacher. A native of Angers, France, Francis LeJau received a doctor of divinity degree from Trinity College, Dublin. In 1704 LeJau was sent by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts to become the first rector of St. James Goose Creek (Anglican) Parish.
