Phoenix resident and businessman.
Samuel A. Dysart was born in Tennessee in 1843, and moved to Iowa with his family in 1854. He received an honorable discharge from the Union Army after having been wounded in the Battle of Pea Ridge. The Dysart family moved to Phoenix, and Samuel was self-employed as an abstractor. His business later merged with the Phoenix Title Guaranty and Abstract Company, and the family moved to a 30 acre farm which Samuel managed. Among Samuel's children were son Birnie, a stock and bond broker, daughter Winnie, a school teacher, and son Louis, a mine doctor in Jimulco, Mexico. Samuel Dysart died in 1903.
