Huyck, Edmund Niles, 1865-1930.

Edmund Niles Huyck was a manufacturer; president of the Board of Trustees, Albany Medical College; and member of the Board of Governers of Union University. He was the son of the founder of the Huyck Corporation, which made paper makers' felts. Huyck was active in industrial labor relations. After his death, his land in Rensselaerville (approximately 1,200 acres) was developed as a center for biological research and named the E.W. Huyck Preserve.
