Grosse Pointe Human Relations Council.
The Grosse Pointe Human Relations Council began informally in 1960 as a result of racial episodes in Detroit housing developments, and it dissolved in 1973. The Grosse Pointe Committee for Open Housing began in 1966 as a housing working group of the Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church, and merged with the Grosse Pointe Human Relations Council, becoming a permanent committee of that organization.
