Edward Morrow was a farm laborer in Okeana, Ohio. He was 25 years old when he enlisted in the Union army in June 1861. He was a private in the 26th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company A, apparently involved with cooking and foraging. He died September 21, 1863, as a result of wounds received at the battle of Chickamauga on the previous day.
