Stanton, John, 1755-1796.
John Stanton (1755-1796) was born in Boston and moved to Worcester prior to the Revolution. He married Sarah Chandler in 1780 and ran a general store while also selling pottery goods. He was a Captain of the Worcester militia and commanded the Artillery Company in 1789. He had a business partnership with Samuel Flagg (1737?-1819?) of Worcester, Massachusetts.
