Lucian D. Warner was born in Port Dalhousie, Ont., Canada in 1903 and enlisted in the Army at Hartford, Conn. in 1942. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried, had completed four years of high school and was working as a manager. Warner joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and was assigned to Company L of the 87th Infantry Division, later transferring to Companies M, K, and E of the 87th. He also served at Fort Ord, Calif.; Kiska, Alaska; Camp Carson, Colo.; and Camp Swift, Tex. Warner attained the rank of Private First Class. He died in 1992.
