Fryer, John, 1752 or 1753-1817
Variant namesJohn Fryer was one of those cast adrift in the launch with William Bligh following the mutiny on the H.M.S. bounty. Fryer and Bligh were on poor terms because of the promotion of Fletcher Christian - in rank Fryer's subordinate, to the position of second in command of the vessel.
