Parents and Families Services, formerly the Parents' Association, works to nurture the relationships with the parents and families of NC State students such that they will support students' achievements and help the University to carry out its mission. Parents are natural allies with the University as we seek to help students find success. Parents' hopes and goals are consistent with the University's mission to "serve its students..." by providing "leadership for intellectual, cultural, social, economic, and technological development." Parents & Families Services has a special interest in establishing cooperative relationships with academic departments and student services to establish parents as a vital constituent of the University.
Parents and Families Services, formerly the Parents' Association, is intended to strengthen the University's relationship with students' families and actively involve them in the life of the University. This organization is responsible for keeping an open line of communication with parents via a website, newsletter, and Parents Orientation.
