Peckham, John M.
Born Dec. 27, 1931 in Troy, N.Y. Was automotive illustrator at the former UHV Automobilist from 1951-1963. His artwork was also published in Esquire and True magazines, and other journals and books. His interest in the history of fire-fighting apparatus and self-propelled vehicles made him an expert on the American LaFrance Fire Engine Company. He edited and published The Phoenix, the quarterly journal of the American LaFrance Phoenix Society. He died May 23, 2001.
