Mrs M Forbes MacKay

M Forbes MacKay was the mother of Alister Forbes MacKay (1877-1914) who served a s surgeon on the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907-1909 (leader Ernest Henry Shackleton). In March 1908, he was a member of the party making the first ascent of Mount Erebus (3794 metres).
