Professor Bernard R. Jerman, former faculty member of the Kent State University English Department, obtained his degrees from The Ohio State University in the field of English literature. He taught at the University of Kentucky, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Maryland prior to his teaching at Kent State. He also taught in Llubljana, Yugoslavia in 1971 as a Fulbright scholar. Dr. Jerman was a specialist in 19th century literature and published numerous articles on the subject. A significant amount of his scholarship examined the literary life of Benjamin Disraeli. Dr. Jerman died in June of 1978.
