Research scientist. Donna Shulze Lutz received her B.S. (1979) in Biology and Environmental Studies and her M.S. in Science Water Resources from Iowa State University. She has held various positions at Iowa State's Engineering Research Institute, including Laboratory Technician (1980-1987), Research Associate (1987-1993), and she is currently an Assistant Scientist (1993- ), who serves as the co-principal investigator, project manager, and field foreman for the Army Corps of Engineers sponsored research in central Iowa.
She has received several awards, including the Footsteps to Follow award (1995) from the Iowa Chapter of the Association of Women in Science. Lutz also serves as a role model and mentor for Iowa State's Program for Women in Science and Engineering.
