Vanderwerf, Calvin Anthony, 1917-
Variant namesVanderWerf graduated from Hope College (A.B.) in 1937 and went on to receive a Ph. D. in chemistry from Ohio State University in 1941. From 1941-1963 VanderWerf taught chemistry at the University of Kansas. VanderWerf then served as president of Hope College from 1963 until his retirement in 1970.
