Talbert, Ernestine Denham, 1929-
Mrs. Talbert graduated from Alcorn State University and Jackson State University, earning degrees in business education and guidance and counseling. She taught in Mississippi public schools for fourteen years until she filed suit against the George County registrar over voting rights in 1962. After her dismissal, she worked for the Mississippi Teachers Association and, from 1974 to 1989, as a career counselor at Jackson State University.
