Gilliard New Guinea Expedition (1950)
Expedition undertaken by E. Thomas Gilliard, the expedition leader and Robert Doyle, an Australian scientist.
The purpose of the expedition was to acquire bird specimens, in particular types of birds of paradise found in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
