Karl Bernstein was a theatrical publicist for New York theater productions from 1925 to 1970.

Bernstein began his career as a vaudeville critic but soon became a theatrical publicist in the 1920's representing theatres in his native Brooklyn. Moving to Broadway he publicized such noted works as those written by Gershwin and Cole Porter. He was a founding member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers. He died in New York in 1983.
