Rubi, Cayetano Mar ia Pignatelli Rubi Corbera y Saint Clement, Marques de
The Marques de Rubi was appointed by Charles III of Spain to inspect the defenses of the Provinces Internas from 1766 to 1767. Rubi inspected settlements from California to Louisiana and issued his report in 1768. This report led to Spain's temporary abandonment of remote settlements.
